Good Morning church,
Romans 1:4, "and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord," ESV When we hear of tragedies such as the earthquake in Haiti what do we say about such things? Perhaps we are left speechless and don't know what to say or think. How do we make any sense of it? This much I do know they are people created in the image of God just like you and I, and they need salvation in Christ just like you and I. So lets help where we can, pray for them continually, and remember that God raised up Jesus for them also and while we send aid, we must send the gospel light. Amen church?

Good Afternoon Brethren,
John 13:34, ' A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." ESV Love and loving the church, our brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world is always right and the Lord's will for our lives. The present disaster in Haiti is again one of those times we must reach our with the love of God and help our brethren and any others that we are able to help. The church here has already sent funds to help with immediate needs and the rebuilding of Haiti. All of us will have an opportunity to give above our regular contribution to this effort this Sunday and next. Just put it in the brown envelope and mark it for Haiti. Let's also keep all of them in our prayers.

Good Morning Brethren,
GALATIANS 1:1, Paul, an apostle— not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead—" ESV Have you noticed in Paul's writings that he is God's man, doing what God would have him to do, no matter what. It's not about Paul, his wants, his desires, his plans for his life, its what God wants for him. I believe this is another example from God as to what He would have all of us to be today. His people, doing His will, His way. Amen church? May we do so in 2010.

Good Morning church,
2 Corinthians 8:9, "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich." ESV Jesus, our Lord and Savior has made all in Him rich! Rich with the blessings of salvation, continual forgiveness as we walk in the light, going before the Father's throne through Him day and night, eternal life, hope and so much more. You talk about a free gift, Jesus has given us so much more. Amen church? Let's all remember Him who has given all.

Good Morning Brethren,
1 John 4:1, "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world." ESV As the apostle John writes to the church to test the spirits to see if they are of God. Test their teachings, are they saying what the apostles said, do their teachings line up with what the apostles taught, is their gospel just like Paul's, John's and the other apostles? If not then don't listen to them, don't follow their teachings. It was a test for them to do and it is the same today in our generation. Test the spirits, the people who claim to be of God, to be preaching and teaching His word. Amen church?
