Good Morning Brethren,
1 Thessalonians 2:13, "And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers." ESV I am constantly reminded that there are people in our community that are looking for the Word of God, not someone's idea of what the word of God is, but the true and living word of God that they can trust. You and I have a mission from our Lord, as does all the churches of Christ, to speak forth the truth in love. I am thankful for God's holy word, its power, its comfort, its faith building ability. It truly is God's power unto salvation. May you and I find strength in and may we proclaim it to all we can. Amen church?

Good Morning church,
Lamentations 3:58,"You have taken up my cause, O Lord; You have redeemed my life." ESV Here the prophet Jeremiah speaks of his needs, his life, his very salvation before the Lord. I noticed that it is all on the Lord, the Lord took up his cause, the Lord redeemed his life, not Jeremiah or his efforts. The same is true for all of us today, Jesus has taken up our cause and redeemed our life, its by the work of God that we are saved. Since that is so let's all bring honor and glory to His name and walk according to God's will for our lives. Amen church?

Good Morning Brethren,
Romans 1:16, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek." ESV Have you ever though about all the church growth plans, programs, methods, etc, that people come up with. When I was very young in the Lord, I heard of all kinds of Bible studies methods that were the latest ideas on winning souls to Christ. There were circles of truth, 5 Minutes with The Master, Evangelism Explosion, Joy Buses, charts and flannel graph to name a few. They have all come and gone, and God's plan remains, the gospel. When the gospel is preached, taught by any member of the church God is working His plan on church growth. We are to pant and water, and God will give the increase. We will never come up with a better plan that His. Amen church? Preach the Word!

Good Morning Brethren,
Romans 1:4, "and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord, 5 through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations," ESV As Paul writes to the brethren at Rome he reminds them that the faith was to be obeyed. In fact that was part of his message to all who would listen to him preach Christ, that faith in Jesus, that is pleasing faith before God was to bring about obedience. Anything less than this would be unacceptable. You and I know this and it must also be a part of the gospel we preach. Amen church?

Good Morning Brethren,
Romans 11:36, "For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen." ESV To God be the glory in our lives and by what we do. May all our efforts be to this end of bringing glory to our Heavenly Father. As we close out this year and prepare for the next, may we glorify Him. Amen church?
